Company
The origins of DRIVALIA Portugal date back to the final decade of the 20th century.
It was born as SADORENT in 1992. It first developed its network in the Lisbon metropolitan area and then successfully expanded through multiple establishments across the country. With a vision of 360° automotive mobility, it positioned itself with the motto Serving Automobility for Due Optimization in the Corporate segment and also, with agility and technology, consolidated itself in the Leisure segment through the internationalization of its service. Having also addressed car sharing and ride sharing/hailing through partnerships. With its economic and financial strengthening in the market, including absorption of competitors' operations/assets, the company was repeatedly distinguished as PME Excelência (almost a unique case in terms of a national rent a car chain) by IAPMEI, I.P. - Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation and Tourism of Portugal, I.P.
As a consequence of this successful path of more than ¼ century, in December 2021 a new stage began: via acquisition by FCA Bank – currently CA Auto Bank – it joined the multinational Leasys Rent, both companies of the Stellantis automotive group (Peugeot , FIAT, Citroën, Opel, Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Chrysler, Maserati, Dodge,…) in partnership with Crédit Agricole, one of the largest European banks.
About half a year later (with the brand 'SADORENT powered by Leasys'), in a process of harmonization across the various European countries, in terms of firm the national name became Drivalia Portugal, S.A. and with the process of rebranding taking place throughout the chain at European level.
With the claim Planet Mobility, DRIVALIA aims for new successful trails across Europe, offering its customers the widest range of mobility solutions: from sharing electric vehicles to innovative car subscriptions, including short, medium and long-term rental . At the heart of this challenging project is the development of innovative and future-oriented mobility formulas, based on flexibility, digital use, an on-demand approach and sustainability.
Since 2023, and with Crédit Agricole (CA) also taking full shareholder control, the company already has a presence in 14 European countries, more than 650 DRIVALIA Mobility Stores, 1600 electric charging points and an extensive fleet of green vehicles.
